5 Quick Lunch Ideas That Only Take 20 Minutes to Make

Many people have a negative opinion about lunch: Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day; but, if we are going to go to great lengths, we are going to make sure that supper is the meal that we are most excited about. But what about you for lunch? It is time that we should stop considering lunch as an afterthought and start treating it with the respect that it deserves. Lunch is the meal that provides us with the midday boost that we require in order to continue moving forward. Having said that, you do not have to devote your Sundays to meal preparation in order to ensure that you have nutritious and satiating lunches during the week. There is no extensive list of ingredients required for these meals, which can be prepared in twenty minutes or less and are quick and easy to prepare. Stop eating those dreary peanut butter and jelly sandwiches now; you deserve something more delicious.

Regarding the turkey sandwich, reviewer Jillian states, "I would have never thought to pair turkey, pepperjack cheese, and strawberry preserves, but this definitely works and is a nice departure from your typical turkey sandwich."

Ingredients

  • Two slices of robust country bread, each an inch and a half thick.
  • Roasted turkey breast cut into four pieces.
  • 1 slice pepperjack cheese.
  • two tablespoons of butter?
  • Four tablespoons of strawberry preserves total.

Directions

In a small skillet, bring the temperature up to medium. It is recommended that you apply one teaspoon of butter on one side of each of the bread slices. First, place one piece in the skillet with the butter side facing down. The turkey and cheese slices should be placed on top. Spread the butter-side of the second slice of bread on top of the first.

To brown the other side of the sandwich, turn it over once the first side has reached a golden brown color. This should take between three and five minutes per side, or until the cheese starts to melt.

  • Make 5 pepperoni slices.
  • Use 1 tbsp pizza sauce.
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning, divided.
  • Taste crushed red pepper.
  • Add ground black pepper to taste.

Directions

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Put parchment paper on a sheet pan and set it aside. Butter should be spread on both sides of each slice of bread before placing it on the pan that has been prepared. About eight minutes into the baking process, the bread should be gently browned on both sides, and you should turn it once halfway through.

Half of the mozzarella cheese should be spread around the border of one slice of bread, but the middle of the loaf should be left unfilled. Place the last slice of bread on top. The back of a spoon should be used to create a depression in the midst of the bread slices, and then the bottom slice should be reached by applying a forceful downward pressure. To the indentation, add the pizza sauce, and then sprinkle half of the Italian spice over the top of the pizza sauce. Directions
